What's it Like to Live in San Jose?

"San Jose used to be a small town and growing up, I witnessed the urbanization and saw the change in the Heart of Silicon Valley. It was a drastic change to see what I once witnessed as a small town grow into the big city it is now. The freeways expanded and more cars filled the streets, the grocery stores were suddenly found within walking distance from one another. There was suddenly more than one shopping mall and more than one shopping center. It was a huge change for my family and me, inflation was also something that began to affect us. We used to spend maybe $250 for 2 weeks' worth of groceries for a family of 5. Now the average is $250 per week for a small family of 2-3 people. The change was fast quick and not as positive as many believed in my opinion." -
