What's it Like to Live in San Joaquin County?

"San Joaquin is avery small town near Kerman, CA. The population is about 4,000 people and the majority of the population is Mexican. I grew up here and I am currently still living here. I have lived in town of San Joaquin where I had caring and loving neighbors. The town itself is surrounded by fields. It is small enough to walk from one side of town to the other in about 10-15 minutes. I have never had any problems here nor a bad experience.

This little town is what I call home. Within our community I would like to see a change in our participation. They hardly let other people who are not on the board to have a say in anything. Some people are in the School Board are not even from San Joaquin. Others say the district has good school, but they do not even send their own kids here. They just sugarcoat it and we need people on the Board who actually know what is going on and not only seeing what they are being told. Our school system is messed up and they need to change it." -

The county is served by excellent public schools, renowned private institutions, and community colleges, providing unparalleled opportunities for education and enrichment.
