As a Santa Clara County resident, you won’t be spending time in museums (at least not after the first week). It’s more likely that you’ll take friends and family to visit Henry Schmidt Park for a game of tennis.

For those with a taste for the finer feathers in life, check out the Bay Wetlands. It serves as a barrier to floods and a balance for water quality in the Mountain View area, but it’s also home to a diverse range of birds and other animals. The area produced industrial quantities of salt for over a century.
