What's it Like to Live in Alameda County?

"As a kid that has moved three times, Alameda County is by far the best place I've ever lived. Not only is the weather perfect, but I love the diversity. I used to live in a predominantly white neighborhood and never really got to hang out with kids of my own race. However, when I first stepped into my new school, I, at first skeptical, was amazed by the numerous asian and black and latino children that surrounded me. And just when I thought things couldn't get better, I was amazed by the food! There was literally everything. Asian food, Mexican food, sandwiches, pizza, fried chicken, fast food, desserts, etc.

And if there was one thing to complain about this county, it's that every store and restaurant and shop closes too early. Most of my favorite places to go are closed by 9pm, which means nightlife isn't all that remarkable. All in all, I would still advertise for Alameda, and I will forever claim to be a resident." -
